This morning I woke up, bid farewell to my family for a week, uploaded 2375098590742398435 pictures to facebook and photobucket (note: new photos on photobucket), then went to the gym. I met with a personal trainer today so she could set up a program for me which was really good but she freaked when she met me because she said her English was very bad! But, we got along just fine, she showed me how to use all of the machines, how many reps to do etc. I'm really excited because it is an INTENSE program so I think it will be a lot of fun to do!!
After the gym I went grocery shopping (Peter gave me "the family fortune" so I could buy food for the week that they are gone) which is ALWAYS interesting! After 2 stores and 1.5 hours, I got the basics of what I needed and headed home! Then I had dinner (leftover chicken stir fry) and began my MOUNTAIN of homework!!! I also made buckeyes during my study break because I am having a sleepover tomorrow! I also was able to watch some Olympics which was nice because I LOVE the Olympics! It is not big at all here, especially considering that Denmark has only won 1 medal (1998, silver in curling) in winter Olympic history! I had to switch channels because they only cover so much on 1 channel before returning to regular programing, but I miraculously figured out how to use the TV so it's all good!
Tomorrow I have class all day and then the sleepover which should be lots o fun!
Food log:
Breakfast: Banana
Lunch: salmon smorrebrød
Dinner: leftover stir fry
sleepover! that sounds cute and fun!!!
ReplyDeletedid i send you last week's radio show? i can't remember. let me know if i didn't.
eat some buckeyes for me (and penny!)
A sleepover on a school night????? I don't think so, missy!!!
ReplyDeleteDid you get to see any of the Men's figure skating tonight? Which figure skater are/were you infatuated with? I keep thinking it is Yevgeny Plashanko (I know I spelled his name wrong...I'm too tired to go find the correct spelling)....you know....the one on your screen saver at home? But then I think "not Plashanko...he's weird!
Did you see Colleen's post about Sandy??? :(
Don't leave that Buckeyes recipe in Denmark!
haha, no class on Wednesdays so it is technically not a school night!
ReplyDeleteNo Colleen, you didn't send me the radio show :( if possible, could I get it by Friday so then I can listen to it on my plane ride to Stockholm? And what was the post about Sandy/what is a Sandy?
They only showed 1 heat of figure skating here, and they aired it at 2AM!!!!! Yes, I am obsessed with Yevgeny Plushenko, he has a big nose but MAN can that guy SKATE!!! Is it possible for you to start taping at least skating b/c I think the Danish tv stations are trying to play a sick joke on the Americans here that want to watch the Olympics!
Look at Colleen's Facebook. Sandy - her fish - has left this life for the watery beyond. He/she touched many a lives in this mortal world. The tributes are very touching.
ReplyDeleteYou can go on nbcolympics.com and see selected Olympic performances (I think....at least that's what "they" say). You should watch Yevgeny's short program and ALSO Even Lysacek program. It was GREAT. I'm pulling for Evan!
"Yevgeny Plushenko's skate in the men's short program showed he remains an Olympic force. Evan Lysacek's skate showed he's up to the challenge of dethroning him. Watch the top two finishers and every other program from Vancouver." (I took this quote off the www.nbcolympics.com face page. Lots of stuff on there!
Did you get my email about CFCU?
No go, already tried all of the TV stations, you can only stream performances in the US! Hopefully those links will still be up in May...
ReplyDeleteI got your email, I guess I'll try calling them today with my phone card, I don't know where I could get a fax machine here... I'm just worried someone tried to break into my account or something and that is why I am locked out...
mmmmmmm big noses *swoon* :] :] :]
ReplyDeletekatie, when i think of an intense workout program i think of poking my eye out with a fork, not so much is "fun" associated with it!!
Katie....I don't think it is a stream because the event is over. I think it is a vidio clip. Did you go to www.nbcolympics.com? Then you choose the sport and it shows the standings with their performance on vidio towards the right.
ReplyDeleteDid you try logging in with my information? That will at least give you a look at your balance to see if everything is good. There does not seem to be much $$$ in there.
There is probably a fax machine at the DIS center, but I'm not sure they will let you send a fax internationally.
Mary....that is the difference between a Division 1 Athlete and a "business school" athlete - who hasn't even practiced in a year!!!
ReplyDeleteyep, I went to NBC, I promise it doesn't work. I did log on with your stuff, at first I just wanted to know how much money I had but now I want to know what is going on.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the videos could be saved onto a computer (not everything but some of the mens figure skating) or sent in a link like Colleen send her radio show. Can Colleen or Maggie work on that??? I doubt the videos will still be up in May.
