Museum and Cooking!

Today was another one of my glorious days off so I was able to sleep in (and when I say sleep in, I mean that I still wake up at 8:30 because I get up so early on other days) and then met some friends in Copenhagen to go to the National museum. They had a HUGE exhibit on Amazonian tribes which was pretty cool (we got to lay in real hammocks)!!! We also saw cultural exhibits on countries in Asia and Africa, then a thing on the Renaissance in Denmark (though we didn't finish this exhibit because it was getting late but I'll def. be going back there, bonus: it is free!)

Afterwards we went to the DIS lounge to start making travel plans: most complicated thing in the world! It is SUPER hard to coordinate 6 different schedules plus other random people that will be joining the group at different points in time so we didn't really get very far, but we are working on it!!

When I got home from Copenhagen I started cooking! For dinner I made Caesar chicken-pasta salad and for dessert I made Buckeyes (that's right Ohio crowd, BUCKEYES!) The family said they really liked both things, and they ate a lot so I think it was an overall success!

Tonight I need to do some serious packing because tomorrow morning (at 6:45am no less) I am leaving for Jutland (Peninsular part of Denmark, connected to Germany) where I will be visiting Ribe (oldest city in DK, celebrating its 1,300th birthday this year), the Jelling Stones (considered the "Birth Certificate of Denmark"), and northern Germany (I think we are going to a brewery or something here). I'm pretty excited for my trip, I even have a travel buddy (name: Jeff college: Williams reason for staying in DK: found out yesterday that 7-11 sells 3 kabobs with meat for 20 kr - how can you not like a person who is obsessed with cheap 7-11 meat kabobs!)

I will be gone from Thurs-Sat night so I will not be posting on this glorious blog, but I promise to take lots of pictures and update when I get back!

Hej Hej for now!!!
